Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Freight Forwarding& Logistics
Sudan & Global

Your Gateway to International Trade

As both a Relocation company and a Licensed Freight Forwarder, Ganbert bridges the gap between personal moves and commercial logistics.
Since 1926, we have moved goods across Sudan’s borders—whether a family’s household goods, a pallet of medical supplies, or a full container of construction materials.

We combine local expertise in Sudanese customs with global shipping networks to deliver reliable, cost-effective freight solutions.

What makes Ganbert different? We are not just freight forwarders. We are licensed De-Consolidation Agent at Port Sudan, authorised to receive consolidated cargo, de-stuff containers into port warehouses, and help small importers clear their goods efficiently. This unique capability saves our clients significant freight costs—especially for cargo originating from China.

Sea Freight – Full Container Load (FCL)

Best for: Large shipments, commercial cargo, full household moves

  • 20ft or 40ft containers – standard or high-cube
  • Door-to-door, port-to-port, or door-to-port options
  • Your goods sealed in your own container – maximum security
  • Transit times: Port Sudan to major global ports (detailed below)

Popular FCL Routes from Sudan:

Destination

Approximate Transit Time

Jebel Ali (Dubai, UAE)

20-25 days

Northern Europe

30–35 days

Shanghai (China)

25–30 days

New York (USA)

35–45 days

Mombasa (Kenya)

Durban (South Africa)

30–35 days

Sea Freight – Less than Container Load (LCL)

Best for: Smaller shipments, samples, personal effects under 15 cubic meters

  • You share container space with other shippers
  • Pay only for the volume you use (minimum 1 cubic meter)
  • Weekly consolidations from Port Sudan
  • Slightly longer transit times due to consolidation/deconsolidation

As a De-Consolidation Agent, Ganbert specialises in LCL cargo from China.
We accept consolidated shipments, de-stuff containers at Port Sudan, and hold cargo in our bonded warehouse while importers clear their goods individually.
This eliminates the need for small importers to purchase full containers or pay premium rates for small-volume shipping.

Air Freight

Best for: Urgent shipments, high-value goods, perishables, time-critical cargo

  • Major airlines served: Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates SkyCargo, Qatar Cargo, Turkish Cargo, Egypt Air, Saudi Airlines
  • Origin: Khartoum International Airport (KRT)

  • Real-time tracking and expedited customs clearance

  • To South Sudan: Via Kosti and border crossings – 3–6 days

How early should I book my international move?

We recommend 6–8 weeks for sea freight and 2–3 weeks for air. Diplomatic and complex routes benefit from earlier engagement; our coordinators can compress timelines when required.
